Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager will provide full spectrum human resources support to the Iola Manufacturing Facility. The individual will drive the development and implementation of integrated HR programs that enable performance and ensure operational excellence. It is imperative that the person in this role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others to ensure a positive, productive work environment. This role reports to the Senior Manager Human Resources.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Provide leadership for the strategy, structure and performance in the delivery of the full range of human resources processes and programs
  • Facilitate the performance management process to ensure retention and employee development
  • Develop programs to position the company as an employer of choice in the community
  • Provide specialized HR counseling and support
  • Develop a culture of engagement and collaboration
  • Implement initiatives to allow continuous improvement and change consistent with the business needs
  • Oversee and ensure legal compliance throughout all employee relations activities including training, investigations, decision making and follow-through.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with corporate policy administration, posting and work rules.
  • Foster open communication with all plant associates.
  • Participate in all major initiatives and decisions for the facility.
  • Ensure fair and consistent performance expectations and accountability.
  • Develop and oversee practices to recognize, reward and appreciate associates.
  • Direct recruiting and staffing practices; ensure candidate quality and timely fill rates.
  • Oversee successor planning, mentoring, and management training within the plant.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports.
  • Foster a results oriented culture through effective coaching and implementation of performance management processes and tools

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree
  • 2-5 years of progressive, professional level experience in human resources
  • Knowledge of applicable labor laws and regulations
  • Experience in employee relations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build and foster relationships at all levels of the organization

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
