OVERVIEW:

The 2019 Gates Innovation in Engineering Program will take you down a path of limitless opportunity. This two-year project based program offers the opportunity to work in one or more of the Gates' Development & Technical Centers and Production Facilities across the US. In order to increase Gates' knowledge and development, assignments will span multiple facilities and/or functions during the length of the program.
Program participants will join Gates' engineering team and innovate in the science of motion performance. Whether your engineering focus is in manufacturing, process, quality, packaging or research and development, you can help Gates build efficient and effective components and systems for the industrial and automotive worlds.
The purpose of this program is to accelerate professional development through project-based business assignments. And the benefits are to gain diverse engineering and manufacturing experience.
EDUCATION:
B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical or Industrial Engineering, minimum 3.2 GPA
Graduation date between December 2018 and June 2019
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Manufacturing or experience as an intern or co-operative student in a highly regulated domestic or international manufacturing environment, strongly preferred
Excellent communication (verbal and written), ability to work as a contributing member of a fast paced engineering team
Positive attitude and strong desire to learn
Geographically mobile (you will receive relocation assistance)
Prior experience using Engineering software (CAD/CAM), preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
